I did not know this and thank you for the history lesson. We could all be better educated when it comes to history, but the one area where I feel history has no relevance is that of conflict resolution. Dredging up past atrocities, or in your example threats, only serves to prolong resentment. My question to you would be “Are you observant?” For, no matter your denomination, if you believe in the tenets of your faith and seek not peace with your fellow man, then you are a hypocrite.
